We need to continue to call for the immediate re-opening of Minet and Carnegie Libraries. No money is being saved, there is no properly developed plan and locking public and staff out of the buildings is causing them to fall quickly into disrepair. It makes no moral or practical sense for these buildings to be closed at this time. This week we are campaigning to re-open these libraries in time for the school holidays. Such an action This will be received with goodwill from campaigners, enabling LBL to work with residents to begin saving money and restoring children’s educational opportunities, in a deprived area.
Lobby the full Council Meeting, Wednesday 13th July, Elm Green School.
Assemble at 6pm, Meeting starts at 7pm
